Lead Developer
Salary to £40K
The games industry is set for massive growth and as such our client is looking for a dynamic individual with web development and team leading experience to join and guide the business on their next ground breaking title.
Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and have sound technical knowledge to help work on the next new MMO. The candidate will work closely with software engineers, artists and designers ensuring high quality of the website and the game.
***KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED***
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate web programming experience, including development of at least one high volume public facing website with a database back-end that presents dynamic information to users (50K+ unique page views per month)and must have experience of defining database schemas and migrating data to deal with changes over time.
Education Required
-- Preferably a good BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Knowledge/Skills Required
-- Experience with either Microsoft? (e.g. asp .NET, IIS) or Unix-like (e.g. LAMP) web environments.
-- Excellent knowledge of Javascript (ECMAScript), HTML/XML, CSS and AJAX-related technologies (JSON, XMLHTTPRequest etc.)
-- Experience in relational database design and SQL.
-- Strong organisational and communication skills.
