Senior Electrical Engineer - BUILDING SERVICES - CENTRAL LONDON
Our client is an established, independent mechanical, electrical & public health building engineering services consultancy, delivering a professional & committed service. With continued success in the delivery of complex building services projects within the aviation, commercial, education, healthcare, residential & leisure sectors they are looking appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer. As a key member of their London team you will be responsible for undertaking the Management of design work from concept-2-completion, incorporating design, specification & supervision of all elements of electrical building services installations.
The person:
They are looking to employ the services of a Professional Electrical Design Engineer who is competent in every aspect of the design process. To be considered you will need to be technically competent at equivalent to Chartered Engineer level or above, & be highly experienced in the production of detailed electrical design solutions for services such as 400V/230V power supply & distribution systems, generators, UPS, earthing, primary & emergency lighting, fire alarms, security, lightning protection, etc. You will also possess strong communication skills, be experienced in undertaking project management duties on Design Projects & ideally educated to HNC level in a relevant subject such as Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
Role/Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be required to lead the electrical building services elements of complex or highly technical projects. Working within a team you be tasked with undertaking a range of duties to include:
-- Management of projects to achieve client satisfaction & profitability for the business,
-- Identify & manage resources to achieve project requirements,
-- Financial management and reporting on project profitability,
-- Technical & quality reviews of project information,
-- Developing conceptual & detailed designs solutions inline with clients brief,
-- Production of electrical specifications,
-- Represent the business at external functions,
-- Assist in the preparation of fee submissions & project bids,
-- Reviewing technical competency of electrical work,
-- Provide specialist technical advice & guidance at project and group level.
