A world leading turbine airfoil producer is looking for a maintenance manager who is confident, pro active and experienced in the maintenance of large engineering production facilities.
Overall Purpose:
Responsible for the maintenance and continual operation of equipment, plant and services within the Casting Plant. Management of maintenance team and contractors efficiently and safely to achieve minimum unplanned downtime and successful on time implementation of engineering projects.
Main Activities:
Co-ordinate maintenance supervisor and maintenance team in implementing planned preventative, predictive and corrective plant maintenance to ensure the continual running of plant and equipment critical to the needs of the business.
Develop engineering solutions to improve the running time of plant and equipment in order to reduce equipment downtime through good problem solving skill.
Assist engineering with capital investments and project implementation.
Implement site health and safety policy and respond to EHS work requests.
Manage site buildings, site services, energy and waste OEE measures on all critical plant equipment with improvement plans in place to drive to root cause.
Use analytical techniques to enable cost saving and method improvements to be achieved.
Requirements:
Familiar with TPM, RCM, FMEA and SMED techniques. The successful candidate will come from an engineering background and will have solid manufacturing experience.
Business, negotiation, project management, leadership and problem solving skills necessary.
A sound knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation, both statutory and non-statutory.
Reliable, able to work on own initiative. Good time keeping and attendance. Able to work alone as well as part of a team.
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels; ability to liaise with external contractors.
