Our client has a 6 month contract with an immediate start available for an energetic and enthusiastic design engineer using Autodisk Inventor CAD package. Knowledge of Radan software is also extremely advantageous. Our client is a busy manufacturing company specialising in making prototypes and one off for a variety of customers in the Central Belt of Scotland. The design team is central to the success of the company and hence this is a key appointment for them. The company is in the beginning of a substantial growth period and you will be joining a happy, friendly but busy team who will make you very welcome.
They need an experienced designer capable of working to tight deadlines on his/her own initiative. The successful candidate will have relevant experience primarily with the area of sheet metal design. The work is highly varied and the successful candidate will be expected to handle several jobs at any given time. You will take full responsibility for your projects from assisting with pricing at quote stage, to ordering material and producing drawings at project stage. The role also involves significant customer contact.
