Role - Contracts Manager Location - Christchurch, Dorset Permanent Salary 40-45k & benefits The company are a niche market design and build contractor working in the water, waste and broad environmental industries. They provide turnkey solutions for the collection, storage and treatment of effluents, leachates, groundwater and wastewater and today we are seeing a real interest in re-use of these liquid streams so they become a beneficial asset rather than a costly operational nuisance to be disposed of. Specialist areas include MBR treatment plants for water re-use, vacuum sewerage systems, reed beds, and advanced environmental monitoring schemes The majority of schemes are designed in-house with our team of process, civil, mechanical, electrical and control engineers. Projects are mainly UK based and typically of value £250 k to £1.5 million. We partner with numerous global product and technology partners and we integrate cost effective solutions working to our accredited integrated management system combining the benefits of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001. The positions are mainly office based but depending on the role then travel throughout the UK to meet clients and inspect sites would be frequent but of short durations. Packages include above average salaries, 25 days holidays (+ bank holidays) and we are soon to commence a family private health scheme. Vehicles, mobile phones and laptop PCs are provided depending on the role. Contracts Manager: We are looking to appoint a progressive contracts manager who would co-ordinate and supervise all the companys civil engineering activities from initial tender support, through to design, procurement, construction, testing and handover. The works are typically enabling such as earthworks, foundations, tanks and bunds associated with treatment plants and also civil engineering lead projects such as reed beds. Experience of the water industry would be of benefit and a pre-requisite is the ability to manage accounts and contracts with clients and sub contractors.
