Procurement Manager - Marketing - International Business Salary: to £43,000 + Benefits Location: Central London, South East The Role: To identify opportunities to reduce business risk, achieve cost reductions and service improvements mainly for the Marketing & Communications spend category. To define procurement strategies and processes to achieve the benefits, leading the process through to contract conclusion. To build strong and effective relationships both with internal customers and external suppliers. To work alongside departmental directors and managers responsible for budgets/cost centres to deliver tangible business benefits from the opportunities identified. To contribute in raising the profile of the Procurement Department by increasing the Department strategic exposure and involvement. To demonstrate a high level of professionalism and expertise in Best Practice Procurement and become a recognised, reliable and valued source of commercial advice. The role reports to the Head of Procurement and the Category Manager may be required to deputise for the Head of Procurement in some circumstances. The Responsibilities: Fully understand spend profiles mainly for the Marketing & Communications spend category. Develop and deliver procurement strategies to deliver measurable business benefits. Establish good working relationships both internally and externally to create the framework for the implementation of procurement initiatives and processes. Anticipate and determine the needs of internal customers. Project manage multi-functional Category teams and take the lead for all sourcing / procurement activities within the teams. Champion and increase awareness of Procurement Best Practices & EU Procurement Legislation and facilitate change throughout the Business. Monitor compliance & escalate Procurement Best Practices & EU Procurement Legislation non-compliance. Support internal customers/managers in monitoring supplier performance u
