Business Development Manager / Software Licensing £65,000 Basic + OTE + Car + Full Benefits Berkshire / South East Our client a leading software vendor are currently looking to recruit a senior sales professional to drive enterprise licensing sales. The primary objectives of this direct field engagement role is to drive volume licensing revenue and maximising the clients satisfaction with the products and services provided by our client. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for: Working with the customer and partner to ensure the closure of opportunities resulting in incremental licensing revenue. Evangelising technologies, to win in the server and desktop client space against competitive offerings. Working to secure annuity revenue through engagement with key new business and renewal customers, selling value through technology and business proposition discussions. Developing a strong understanding of the key target customers in the geographic region - working to achieve sales effectiveness around key server and desktop solution scenarios. Working closely with other sales teams within the business and partners to understand, drive and close opportunity pipeline.
Key Accountabilities Total license revenue from account set - including new account business and securing annuity streams from existing customers. Achieving the annual sales quota Improvement in customer & partner satisfaction Representing the proposition in key competitive engagements Completion of essential reporting, profiling and general administration using Siebel Personal contribution to the success of the vertical sector, Medium Business and the SME business as a whole Key Success Criteria Work closely with the internal sales teams and marketing team to collaborate the customer needs and requirements and effectively utilise the engagement model, to ensure positive customer experience and maximisation of revenue. Driving the Sales plan for your Region Work closely with the partner group to ensure the right partners are aligned to opportunities. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Experience Significant solution sales and/or account management experience for an IT company or management consultancy. Strong knowledge and understanding of licensing programmes. Experience in successfully leading complex, executive level campaigns through the entire sales cycle and consistently delivering challenging targets. Ideally, candidates will have completed formal sales training.
Personal Attributes The successful candidate will need to be:- A successful sales professional. Must have a strong demonstrable track record of successful selling to major organisations at all levels, with the ability to negotiate complex commercial contracts. Strong drive for results is essential. A highly effective team player? with the ability to motivate virtual team members from inside and outside of the company. Creative. Able to think strategically and laterally, and develop new and innovative ideas. Technical understanding. A good level of technical awareness, i.e. the individual should be able to hold a technical architecture discussion with a senior IT Manager, and be credible. An excellent communicator.
