They have just been awarded a significant project in Wandsworth involving modernising and extending a complicated waste recycling centre next to the river, value £9m over 12 months. The project is due to commence imminently. You will take complete responsibility for the commercial side of the project with additional commercial support on site.
Your responsibilities:
*Provide accurate financial reporting across the whole project
*Supervise, support and advise direct reports
*Ideally you will have at least five plus years surveying experience on project values up to £10m
*Provide good broad commercial skills including, placing subcontractor orders, monitoring subcontractors, monitor internal expenditure against budget, seek opportunities to maximize value and minimize costs, assist with financial reviews, valuations, monthly and final accounts, bills of quantities, proactively report to client and attend site meetings etc.
*Capable of maintaining financial control of the contract from start to finish
Essential Experience:
The ideal candidate will have excellent personal qualities and may have a mixed background including: Working for a main contractor, regional contractor or sub contracting organisation with a minimum of 5 to 10 years experience. Be widely experienced in Quantity Surveying on major building projects for new build contracts.
You will have a strong technical knowledge of the construction industry and a proven background within
