Senior Engineer - Highways & Roads - to £45k + Excellent Package
Our clients is an integrated highways services company that is equally owned by two of the leading highways service providers
Their work ranges from individual projects through to long term framework agreements. Recently they have entered into a long-term partnership with Harrow Council to improve its roads, pavements and other parts of its public infrastructure.
They also carry out road maintenance and improvement for Transport for London (TfL) in South London.
Their opening - Senior Engineer - Highways and Roads
The successful person will report to the schemes project manager and will be assisting with the operational side of the works and will be responsible for the supervisors and the sub-contractors.
They require a person who is comfortable working within the following environment.
-- Dealing with Supervisors and Sub Contractors
-- Dealing with all site related paperwork, Method Statements, Health and Safety Documentation
-- Dealing with Contract Documentation
-- Site Inspections for H&S and Quality on weekly bases
-- Previous experience of working with the Transport for London
-- Providing detailed feedback on a weekly bases on progress and issues that might affect the program
-- Good understanding of Chapter 8 and Traffic Management
-- Experience with resurfacing and other improvement schemes on highways.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum HNC level (or equivalent) in civil engineering with strong computer and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team You must have a Drivers License, First Aid, CSCS, NRSWA training.
