Job Title: Site, Section, Senior Engineers - Heavy Civils

Salary: £35000 - £45000 per annum + Car/Allowance, Pension, Health etc.
Our client a leading civil engineering main contractor. They have built a reputation of delivering large scale civil projects within London. Due to increasing growth and the work they keep winning they are looking for engineers at all levels to work on major projects up to the value of £200million within the London area.
The Role:
-- Set a high personal example of safety and environmental behaviour
-- Supervise chain person and assistant engineers
-- Monitor the work under their control to ensure that any unsafe work conditions and non compliance with company policies and procedures are promptly remedied
-- Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques
-- Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information
-- Ensure that works are accurately and clearly set out before work is programmed to commence
-- Communicate with foremen and gangs to ensure full understanding of information provided
-- Arrange formal checking of setting out and ensure check requests are completed
-- Ensure reasonable survey book standards and daily diaries are maintained by engineers
-- Prepare written risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works
-- Ensure all delivery tickets are cost coded and passed to accounts dept. for processing.
-- Order materials and maintain register of all orders placed and confirmed
-- Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time
Requirements:
-- Experience working on projects up to the value of £50 million within the UK
-- CSCS card
-- A good understanding of construction procedures and working methods
-- A Degree qualification in civil engineering
