Would you like to be involved with the planning and construction of a major new crossing of the River Mersey? The opportunity We are seeking a candidate to fulfil the position of Deputy Project Manager (Environment) for the Mersey Gateway project. The post represents an outstanding opportunity to gain experience of project management of an environmental impact assessment and public inquiry for an infrastructure project of regional and national importance. You would be working in the main project management team and represent environmental interests, liaise between the engineering and environmental teams and play a key role in the management of the planning application process and preparations for the anticipated Public Inquiry. You will provide direct support to the EIA team compromising of the EIA Direcotr, EIA Co-ordinator and a team of technical experts and authors. Who we are looking for You will be degree qualified and chartered (or equivalent) and have a high standard of written English. The successful candidate should have broad experience of the EIA process, preferably up to and including involvement in Public Inquiry. Experience in one or more technical environmental disciplines would be a prerequisite. In addition experience and/or formal training in project management would be an advantage. Due to the nature of the work and expected need to travel to other UK office a full UK Driving Licence is required
