Job Summary:
Working as a member of a team, you will be responsible for the design and development of medium and small sized maintenance/refurbishment works to highway structures. The role involves working alongside our construction and commercial teams to deliver as an integrated team the projects from identification to closure of final account. You will supervise technicians and/or graduates working with you on these projects.

Main Activities:
Preparation of structures maintenance and improvement design packages, meeting the requirements of the Highways Agencys Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
Working as part of an integrated delivery team who take combined ownership of the project from start to completion off the final account.
Working in compliance with health and Safety legislation and developing safe buildable solutions.

Experience and Competencies:
Experienced in the design of bridge maintenance and inspection works.
Familiar with the Highways Agency Design Standards and record systems.
Familiar with current codes of practice.
Familiar with current legislation.
Ability to supervise others and work as an integrated member of a delivery team.
Good computer skills
Good communication skills
A relevant professional qualification C. Eng/I.Eng or equivalent experience
Driving Licence.
