The Materials and Integrity Management Engineer is responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable execution of engineering activities for contracts allocated to the Materials & Corrosion Group/Ionik and the Subsea Asset Management Group. This includes support for external clients and the Group. Specifically: to provide integrity management, defect assessment and materials engineering support to projects inside the organisation. 2. RESPONSIBILITIES " Possess a working familiarity with the legislative regime and the relevant codes and standards affecting integrity management, defect assessment, and safety cases. " Writing, checking and issuing written schemes of inspection and integrity management schemes. " Take part in assessments to determine the requirement of an asset for inspection, monitoring or NDT and provide the information to manage an assets integrity and satisfy its design lifetime. " Assist in the development of risk-based-inspection (RBI) schemes using proprietary software and advise on procurement of specialist software if necessary. " Perform or co-ordinate fitness for purpose assessments to ensure continuing integrity asset management of structures and pressure containing equipment; " Provide integrity management expertise based upon knowledge of engineering materials and operating environment. " Provide engineering support to other existing workscopes in the company, including offshore interventions, intelligent pigging operations and design projects. " Attempt to broaden the scope of the current client base and scope of services by offering to assist where the opportunity arises. " Correctly adhere to the Company Health, Safety, Environment, & Quality policies. " Liaise with Customer(s) personnel to develop workscopes and build a professional working relationship with the Customer(s). " Checking, validating and approving supplier invoices. Following up any disputes to arrive at an early settlement / resolution. " Contribute to overall company planning and future strategy in conjunction with Materials & Corrosion Group Business Manager. " Any other duties as required 3. AUTHORITY Functional Technical authority for Integrity Management activities within the Materials & Corrosion Group/Subsea Asset Management Group. Commercial Within the financial limits set out within the Management System and by the Materials & Corrosion Group Manager. 4. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Experience in Integrity Management, Offshore Engineering and Mechanical Design in offshore oil and gas industry, with a sound technical background and understanding of the engineering, contractual and commercial requirements related to the working environment.
