An International electronic office equipment manufacturer is seeking a contract Manufacturing & Quality Engineer (Electronic Assemblies) to manage the development of production processes for new electronic assemblies at other sites across the business, ensuring modules and finished product are delivered to the supply chain at benchmark Quality Cost and Deliverys (QCDs). Responsible for quality aspects and timely completion of (manufacturing) qualification and batch releases of new products. Involving qualification of manufacturing process, tooling, timely installation and bring up of tooling/test processes, advice on how to, communicate and resolve problems with design and track proper implementation of at third parties. You will deal with supplier module cost issues, integration centre, field quality issues and service costs. Working jointly in a team, managing 2 or more business partners at any time together, directing 2 or more Asian Procurement Office SQA engineers for relevant modules and multiple programs. Based in UK with limited travel to Far East (Malaysia, China) Ideally you will have a degree or an equivalent qualification in one of the following disciplines: Manufacturing (process, tooling, and facility), Quality (quality systems), Commodity (electronics, sheet metal, plastics etc), Module delivery, Systems delivery, Management, Commercial understanding, Project Management or worked within a design and development environment, International experience (assignment, extended periods abroad etc). As well as be familiar with supply chain requirements. Have a proven track record with strong practical and theoretical technical ability in a similar environment.
