To provide technical support to professional staff based in Community Safety Services working in accordance with the required legislative guidelines and best practice approaches to achieve the service provision requirements of Community Safety Services. Key Responsibilities: To identify and carry out of investigations and make appropriate decisions independently to mitigate identified risk to individuals and/or the community including through innovation as necessary within the relevant discipline, including consultation, liaison and partnership working. To manage and supervise as appropriate works in default following non-compliance with statutory notices and to ensure works are carried out satisfactorily and enable the Council to recover its costs. To use Community Safety IT Systems and specialist software relevant to the appropriate discipline and provide input into the development of systems where appropriate. Essential Requirements: Minimum one relevant academic post graduate, degree, diploma or recognised equivalent formal qualifications at level required to undertake a designated professional role within the Private Sector Housing Enforcement Team and meeting the requirements of a relevant, certified competency level for the designated role e.g. Graduate member of Chartered Institute of Environmental Health [CIEH], Building Control, Surveying or related discipline with knowledge of Private Sector Housing Enforcement.
