One of the Largest Distribution companies in Scotland is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance team. This role is primarily to provide a complete accounting service to the Management Accountant and Managers within there business.
This is a permanent position, the hours of work being Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm
Duties include:
- Assisting with the production of the management accounts pack by depot ad consolidation area
- Identifying and analysing variances in the budget to ensure the appropriate corrective action is being taken.
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly inventory, margin and over head variance analysis and correction
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets for cost centres to include gross margin, overheads and operating profit.
- Liaising with various departments within the business to ensure an accurate understanding overall whilst essentially being part of the finance function.
Candidates must be Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA, with previous specific accounting experience. Candidates must also be commercially aware, have excellent personal and communication skills, be IT literate especially in Excel and have a high level of accuracy.
Experience of accounting in a multi site environment would be an advantage but not essential.
