Network Consultant/Engineer - Cisco/CCNA, LAN/WAN, South West
ISL is actively recruiting for an experienced Cisco certified Network Engineer/Consultant to join one its established clients in the South West, which is a successful IT Consultancy.
Working within the Professional Services Group you will be a key part of a growing team responsible for architecting and configuring all of the solutions provided by the client.
The role will involve a range of duties including
-- Identify and qualify customer requirements.
-- Design, document and present network infrastructure and services solutions.
-- Articulate the benefits of a Cisco solution.
-- Work effectively with sales or as part of the presales team in integrated solutions.
You will need a wide technical knowledge of various technical products and services, such as Microsoft, Intel, iSeries etc.
Experience:
The right candidate will have a solid technical background with recent hands on experience. Relevant accreditations and experience in a Field Engineer/Consulting role at CCNA/DA. Ideally a CCNP/DP or CCSP qualification will have been gained or be in progress. Training will be provided to enable keeping all relevant skills up to date.
Experience in the following areas of Cisco technology, predominantly:
-- LAN and WAN infrastructure.
-- PIX / VPN / Security.
-- Wireless.
VOIP/IPT and Cisco Call Manager would also be advantageous
You must have experience of client facing situations, have the ability to gain the confidence of a prospective client quickly by demonstrating competence in their field and be able to spot opportunities for other solutions/technologies that can be provide.
This is a challenging role that will involve dealing with clients remotely and face to face so travel UK wide will be required. Salary is expected to be up to £35,000 + car (allowance) + bonus + benefits, with the opportunity of training.
