Production Machinists

We are working with a major service company to assist them expand their production capacity.
Job Objective:
To manufacture Oil Tool components to drawing specification or specific instructions while ensuring Safety / Housekeeping and Quality procedures are followed. Contributes fully and provides support and coaching within a team based environment.
Job Duties:
Proven ability to operate and handle materials and tools in safe manner, adhering to safety procedures at all times providing guidance to others.
Displays active interest and vigilance in the safety of others.
Efficiently program, Set up and operate of a wide variety of special purpose and conventional CNC and Semi NC machine tools in the production of metallic components to specification.
Reads and interprets engineering blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished work piece, sequence of operations tooling programming and setup requirements.
Liaising with supervision on non-conformance & suggesting resolution activities.
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to provide support, coaching and mentoring to others in the team based environment, contributing fully to team development and participation.
Shows ability to train others in numerous aspects of processes & projects.
Recognised as an expert in highly skilled operations.
Enforces Housekeeping requirements, Safety Processes & Risk assessments and maintains a safe and clean working environment throughout the facility.
Skills required:
Highly competent in the setting and operation of the majority of conventional and/or CNC Lathes / CNC Mills.
Capable of programming components on machine controls (Fanuc; Mazatrol; Philips; Hiedenhain).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering blueprints, safety instructions / manuals; maintenance instruction and procedure manuals, (Formatted in English and Imperial unit of measure)
Ability to recognize, solve and implement required changes for work related problems.
Capable of managing self and others.
Well organized and highly dependable.
Ability to train and coach others in specific operations
Education/Experience/Training
Proven Track record of success, development and mentoring within a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in previous assignments / grades that exceeded expectations.
Proven organizational and communication skills.
Ability to operate and use PC's with experience of using manufacturing systems, SAP and MS Office applications ability to work in a workshop environment, with developed skills on the responsibilities of housekeeping and safety processes for self and others.
Manual Handling
Initial training may be given to successful candidates to enable the fulfillment of the job requirements.
Coaching and leadership skill enhancement.
