Role: Design Engineer (new Developments):To exploit business opportunities and ensure that products and services meet the required quality standards, by designing and developing new, or modifications to existing, product lines to meet actual or anticipated future customer needs.
The position is one of the main points of contact between the Product Line Management and Sales teams who determine the product requirements, and the manufacturing plants who make the products in line with the design parameters determined by the Engineering group.The role is measured by the accurate interpretation of product requirements into effective designs/drawings that can be used to manufacture the products against time, quality and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Perform general design duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager carrying out such duties as:
Develop new products and services
Modify existing product to meet internal or external customer requirements
Production and maintenance of engineering drawings for use in the manufacture, assembly, and testing of products using CAD systems.
Preparation of calculations and design packages for performance of design review
Development and maintenance of test procedures, carrying out appropriate liaison with the Test Coordinator on testing programmes
Participation in the review of field and problem job reports.
Development and maintenance of field running procedures.
Participate in prototype equipment jobs, onshore or offshore.
Development and maintenance of bills of materials to ensure correct manufacture of tools.
