Currently one of the UKs leading Banks within the Local Business sector, offering a World class service to Local Business clients. About the Role The Business Development Manager- will have responsibility for acquiring new small business clients who have a turnover of up to £1 million per annum and which will produce sustainable income for the bank The Business Development Manager -will target all new business especially high value customers of other banks and switching them over by using cross sales and a consultative approach, expanding the portfolio for the division and increasing revenue for the bank. The Business Development Manager- will identify and proactively build relationships with Key Business Introducers, in order to attract new business and raise the profile of the bank in the local community. Focus: Develop quality leads and introductions by researching and identifying prospective clients Hold meetings with prospective customers to understand their business requirements and tailor your service to their needs Act as the initial point of contact for new customers and responsible for the entire account opening, transfers and initial lending sanction process. Responsible for smooth transition of the new account to the relevant Local Business Manager
About the Person Our client is looking for enterprising outgoing and confident sales professionals, with experience in targeting new business whilst researching a market and developing new relationships successfully to meet targets. The ideal Local Business Development Manager will have extensive knowledge of the local banking market, come from the financial services industry and be comfortable in selling a range of financial services and products to a professional client base. Candidates must demonstrate past record in developing new business and be commercially aware plus be able to demonstrate sales ability by proven track record of consistently achieving target.
