Sous Chef Needed for Exciting Small Group of Pub Restaurants Paying Competitive Salaries with good future prospects This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, driven and passionate Sous Chef who wants to join a dynamic business in the area working with Fresh ingredients and cooking Modern British cuisine to high standards. Your role as Sous Chef will involve working directly with the Head chef to maintain standards, Planning and training junior chefs to the Seasonal Menus, leading a team, supervising all sections and ensuring the quality and presentation of all dishes is upheld. The ideal candidate for this position would be a proven Sous Chef from a quality food environment or a fresh keen talented Chef de Partie from a more fine dining environment or quality Bar Restaurant who wants to take a step up to Sous Chef position and learn more management skills from a great Chef within a friendly country Inn environment. This is a very hands on position in a fast paced yet relaxed environment and requires a strong personality to lead a small team and an individual who can work under pressure, manage people and handle volume with speed and work well with colleagues as part of a team. Some experience with stock control and ordering is beneficial as the Sous Chef will be responsible for running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef Key Skills are Ability to demonstrate kitchen and culinary skills Experience as a Sous Chef in a busy Fresh food environment Ability to work under pressure in a bustling kitchen Team player and strong team builder A high standard of personal presentation Confident, professional and welcoming personality. The Rewards Basic Salary of up to £23,000 per year dependant on experience Free meals whilst on duty Opportunities for promotion and transfer across the group as it continues to expand Friendly casual working environments Eligibility This position is vacant and immediate interviews and trails are available.
