A Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer is required to join the Geotechnical Design team which forms an integral part of the Ground Engineering Services division of Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow based). The successful applicant will form part of a busy team in a vibrant office with plenty of scope to develop their career. Duties will include the following: - Carry out geotechnical design tasks such as slope stability analysis, earth retaining structures, pile design, foundation parameters and retaining wall design etc; - Project Management; - Mentor and train more junior staff; - Communicate effectively with clients and contactors; - Compile factual and interpretative reports; - Compile earthworks specifications; - Finite Element Analysis; - Financial Control; - Lab test scheduling and interpretation.
