Principal Consultant. A leading technology consultancy is currently looking to recruit a Principal Consultant for their Scotland office. This is a client facing role where your main aim is to increase revenue for your department. You will lead pre-sales and bid management and as such you will be able to offer technical solutions to your potential customers. You will have experience leading large projects where you have provided both technical and thought leadership. Your duties will include risk assessment, business benefits analysis, face to face consulting with customers including bidding for new business as well as managing existing client relationships, technical project management and facilitation of customer workshops. Your technical expertise will be sufficient for you to advise on vendor selection as well as product and technical architecture required. You will also be required to mentor and manage more junior level consultants. Suitable candidates will have approx 10 years experience in a consulting environment in a role of similar responsibility. Your experience will include pre-sales and technical consulting and much of: Project Management, designing technical architecture in a number of disciplines, technical sales customer requirement analysis, identifying true ROI etc. You will have excellent industry knowledge and acumen with excellent qualifications, including PM methodology possibly Prince, RUP.
