Purpose
-- To achieve companys goal of using Ira as the main UK administration system in the based on existing company standards.
-- To ensure the UK Treaty and Facultative business is administered appropriately and accurately in line with treaty specifications.
Scope
-- The UK and Irish Life insurance market (and where specific knowledge may be utilised in other entities of affiliates outside of the UK and Ireland, to assist as resource permits).
Specific Responsibilities
1.0 Administration
1.1Ensure that the companys administration standards and time service requirements are applied to the handling of all business received.
1.2Ensure that the administration of all UK business adheres to treaties. This includes creating premium reconciliation spreadsheets to verify client paid premiums.
1.3Maintain a professional and working relationship with clients.
1.4Take a lead role in Administration audits.
1.5Attend Client Champion Meetings.
2.0System Testing
2.1Convert the backlog of UK companies onto Ira. This includes the following:
-- Gather treaty information from Pricing team and analyze.
-- Create and test mapping specifications.
-- Work closely with the Finance and Valuation teams to agree on structure of Ira treaty.
-- Set up treaties on Ira, both assumed and retrocession.
-- Set up statement group and administration groups.
-- Load premium rate tables to Ira.
-- Test ECF and EDT loads.
-- Troubleshoot EDT errors.
-- Troubleshoot and validate premium calculations.
-- Create procedures and train others.
-- Work according to a scheduled plan.
2.2Verify data cleanups carried out by STL Global Software Unit.
2.3Perform user acceptance testing for all new Ira builds and patches. This includes setting up test cases.
2.4Troubleshoot possible Ira defects.
2.5Write requirement documents for Administration enhancements on Ira.

3.0Reinsurance
3.1Maintain a good knowledge of UK and Irish reinsurance practices and specific treaty practices as they pertain to the management and handling of transfer of risk.
3.2Maintain a good understanding of the chain of companies, external retro companies and the International Retro Pool.
4.0Management
4.1Lead, direct, develop and provide coaching to Business Analysts (currently 2).
4.2Provide support when other Business Analysts are loading backlog of companies to Ira.
5.0Management Information
5.1Develop and provide regular Management Information to other UK teams.
5.2Provide information for ad hoc queries from other UK teams.
5.3Provide data in required format for UK Underwriting audits.
5.4Participate in the analysis of monthly statistics produced by administration analysts. This includes explanations of fluctuations in policy-related accounts (premiums, allowances etc.)
6.0Technical
6.1Gain market knowledge of Life Reinsurance and its implications within administration.
6.2Gain good understanding of client treaties and create premium reconciliation models for clients not currently loaded to Ira.
6.3Gain good, technical knowledge all Ira modules.
6.4Take ownership of clients, and be responsible for converting client data and treaties on to Ira.
6.5Fully document procedures and processes.
5.0 Interactions
5.1Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst and working closely with other members of the Information Management team.
5.2Provide Microsoft Excel, Access and Ira assistance to others in the Information Management Team.
5.3Contribute to the team building spirit with the company.
5.4Working closely with other UK teams and Global Software Team.
