A leading supplier of electronic systems to the defence and aerospace markets require a Programme Manager - Naval Countermeasures. This opportunity is for a pragmatic and customer focussed individual with defence industry experience to provide additional project management expertise within the countermeasures business unit. You will be responsible for coordinating project management activity across a number of naval programmes.
The role will incorporate:
Regular liaison, monitoring, problem solving and the development of pragmatic and innovative solutions with MoD customers and key sub-contractors
Monitoring and mentoring of Project Management activity across the Business unit within budget and agreed timescales
Monthly Business unit level programmatic reporting, the generation of cost/spend profiles, and budgetary forecasting
Support to the Business unit marketing team in the development of new opportunities and leadership of bid activity for emergent opportunities
The ideal candidate is likely to have a demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of complex projects/programmes and experience of working in the Defence Industry, ideally delivering MoD programs. You will be proficient in the use of industry standard Windows based project management tools, commercially astute and experienced in the development of Statements of work and the flow down of requirements through Sub-contracts. You will be technically competent to engage with engineers across a range Hardware, Software, and mechanical disciplines. You will be able to both lead and support Contract and Sub-contract negotiation. This role also requires security cleared to UK SECRET.
