A Senior Programme Manager is required for a leading defence company. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute and technically competent professional with comprehensive project management experience.
Working as part of a professional multi-disciplined team, responsibilities will include:
Prepare and implement work schedules and programme planning
Accountability for programme performance
Monitoring, management and mitigation of existing and new risks
Manage and execute programmes from any part of the programme lifecycle (Assessment phase, Development, Production, Support & Disposal)
Ensure requirements of contract are flowed down to the programme team with clearly defined tasking
Regular reporting of programme progress ?actuals against forecast
Manage sub-contractors and work partners
Accurate forecasting of programme financial information, resource requirements and follow on business opportunities
The ideal candidate will have extensive project / programme management and business development experience, broad experience of financial management and experience of leading multi-disciplined and matrixed teams. Defence and MoD knowledge and familiarity with MoDs acquisition process is desirable.
