A leading communications systems supplier requires a Sales & Marketing Manager for the Naval Systems sector. Working as part of the winning business team this is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and pragmatic individual with defence sector experience. Key tasks: Maintain regular contact with all Naval Systems sector customers Identify and prioritise future Naval Systems prospects and opportunities Maintain order intake forecast, using appropriate judgement to calibrate customer information on contract values and award dates Devise achievable, coherent win strategies and capture plans for Naval Systems prospects In conjunction with the Bid Management team, ensure that good quality bids are submitted on time Provide a `listening ear to customers post contract and promote the award of contract extensions Advise and support the Naval Systems sector Domain Specialist(s) in devising technology and product strategies Contribute to the formulation of the business strategy for the Naval Systems sector and the preparation of the Strategic Business Plan The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of communications technologies applicable to the Maritime domain and of UK Ministry of Defence acquisition processes along with defence sector experience. Royal navy experience is desirable but not essential.
