Suitable candidate: PC person with good I.T. skills (especially Windows XP / Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Microsoft SharePoint) who is self motivated with an ability to organise, but would like to work as part of a close-knit team. Purpose and Responsibilities -- Support a growing user base of Windows XP PC?s, laptops and printers including setting up and maintaining PCs (installing software, diagnosing PC faults, liaising with maintenance contractors) in the office, but some UK travel may very occasionally be necessary -- Provide helpdesk support and asset software to support the user base -- Manage user and customer expectations from a financial and a service point of view -- Manage small projects (e.g. PC installations) Scope: -- 0 Servers as servers located in a hosted data centre -- 80 PCs (Windows XP) -- 3 networked locations (UK only) Experience required -- Have a solid understanding of IT system fundamentals (i.e. able to analyse problems and provide and manage the solution) with a reasonable knowledge of PCs and networks and the software it uses (e.g. Windows XP and Office 2007). No router configuration skills are required -- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (configuration and user setup) -- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Access 2007 and preferably SQL 2005 (creating and maintaining small user databases) -- Ideally at least 3 years in a similar role -- Must be Microsoft qualified or ability to prove similar knowledge -- Previous Management of small I.T. projects
