We require a Windows Platform Support Engineer to provide 3rd line support, work on Windows incidents and identify and solve problems and participate in availability, capacity and change management. The key focus is to minimise the amount of unplanned downtime in the customers production environment. You Will define and execute work orders, identify and solve 3rd line problems and participate in capacity and change management whilst working to customer SLAs. Skills: Excellent W2000/W2003, MCSE, ideally 3 years experience in NT4.0/Windows 2000 administration, problem solving skills and experience in middle ware and back office applications. You will also have a good understanding of SAN technology and desirable is any knowledge of HP hardware and storage technology. This is a shift based role - 2 x 12 hour days/2 x 12 hour nights and then 4 days off with the pattern repeated.
