Oracle Support Analyst is required by our client based near Greenford, Middlesex, west of London. This is a challenging and vital role that will see you taking responsibility for a suite of products that will allow you to provide application support and data management and reporting services around large and complex Oracle 9i databases housing digital product data.
To be considered for this role you will have strong Oracle and SQL skills, ideally gained in a support role with demonstrable experience of Windows Batch Scripting (.ini and batch script manipulation). This should ideally be complemented with database design skills; any experience of PL/SQL or UNIX would be a bonus but is not essential.
In addition to support and maintenance responsibilities, a large part of this role (could be as much as 60-70%) will include the provision of data management, data analysis and reporting. As such, experience in a similar data analyst/reporting role in an Oracle RDBMS environment would be a big bonus.
In addition to Oracle and SQL skills you will have an appreciation for the need to comprehensively test changes before implementation. Demonstrable testing skills are required in additional to excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in a team and on your own with the flexibility to provide occasional out of hours support on a rota basis.
