Job Spec You will be expected to; -- Provide and effective, proactive client service, providing technical advise and cost-effective solutions to meet client expectations and service standards -- Ensure risks are placed on best terms and in the most appropriate and secure market -- Develop and foster client and HSBC relationships to attract new business and further develop / retain existing clients. Maintain and develop mutually supportive insurer / underwriter relationships to ensure effective placement of risks -- Assist in developing and implementing effective business development, broking and client service systems and processes -- Cross sell company products and services to existing clients -- Set-up and maintain files and computerized records. Follow up file notes of meetings to clear all outstanding matters -- Resolve insurer and client queries. Check policy wordings and produce endorsements, certificates and invoices to meet deadlines and client needs -- To contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of client plans to achieve business objectives -- Communicate regularly with clients to understand and meet their requirements and keep colleagues informed of relevant activities, developments and issues Candidate qualities:- Must have a good general insurance background . Must possess excellent Customer Service skills. Excellent team player with the ability to work on their own initiative Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Skills / Qualifications * Commercial Insurance experience * Experience of working in an Insurance broker environment * Certificate of Insurance - desirable * Min 5 GCSE or equivalent passes at grades A - C, including Maths and English - desirable * Understanding of FSA and contract certainty requirements - desirable
