Field Sales Executive

My client is the Worlds most successful bridal-wear manufacturer established 80 years ago. The UK Brand leader with a deserved reputation as the most professional supplier in the industry.
They are looking for a Field Sales Executive to cover the Midlands and Southern part of the Country.
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager, the successful applicant will be required to manage sales activity to an established client base of independent bridal retailers throughout the Midlands & South. They will be required to build a personal/commercial relationship with clients in order to sell two collections a year of bridal, bridesmaids & prom dresses. Selling is achieved through store visits, at regional hotel shows & at the industry national exhibition held twice a year in Harrogate. The applicant will also develop the territory by constantly evolving the Client base, although the majority of Clients are fairly constant. They will be required to develop existing clients & introduce new clients as & when required. My client will expect candidates to be able to plan & administer their time so that journey plans are cost effective.
Key character traits:
Good communicator / self motivated / honest & reliable / professional / smart personal appearance / adaptable / logical & organised / a clean UK driving licence for vehicle insurance purposes the candidate must be over 25 years of age.
The person should be outgoing with the ability to both listen & communicate at all levels, be self motivated & able to work on their own initiative unsupervised. Personal presentation is important to convey the correct company image in a fashion industry environment.
Key Skills:
Sales ability - able to close a sale / able to build relationships / able to organise cost effective journey planning / good administration skills / the ability to adapt & think on their feet.
This industry is very people orientated & as such the ability to create a client/company relationship is important. Industry knowledge is not necessary, but an empathy with fashion & a desire/ability to learn is a prerequisite. This position could suit someone with retail sales experience looking to make the move into territory sales or an experienced salesperson from another industry looking to make the change.
This industry is NOT a hard sell environment, it requires professional presentation & negotiation skills with subtle/intelligent selling techniques.
