Senior Quantity Surveyor - Highways - Sussex
My client is a construction services company providing maintenance and enhancement services to the highways, rail, utilities, municipal waste and general infrastructure markets, primarily with public sector and regulated sector customers, across the UK.
My client is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a prestigious highways development project worth in the region of £18million per annum over a 10 year period. It is a client facing role, with management of the Schemes Delivery being a key aspect of this Senior Quantity Surveyor position.
The right candidate will have extensive relevant UK work experience ideally within a Highways, Utilities or Civil background. Some knowledge of ECC/NEC type of contracts is essential. Knowledge of computer based estimating packages would also be an advantage.
Primary Responsibilities are to:
-- Ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised.
-- Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the Contract Management team. Help ensure the business targets and KPIs are exceeded and that problems are identified and resolved at an early stage.
-- Produce cash flow forecasts and keep updated and report on variances.
-- Manage the commercial aspects of sub-contract accounts, from procurement to interim and final account agreement.

Salary: up to £55K plus car, bonus, pension and healthcare. If you are currently doing a degree or academic qualification in a relevant subject, ie construction industry, and your current employer is paying for it, then my client will cover that as well.
