CAD Draughtsperson.
My client are one of the longest established and principal manufacturers of heat exchange products for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry in Europe.
They are actively looking to recruit a Draughtsperson to be based at their offices in Fareham in Hampshire.
PURPOSE
Updating of designs on continuous engineering basis, translation of engineering order requirements into manufacturing information, and production of all drawing and specification requirements for the Companys products, usually for Customer Orders.
MAIN DUTIES
1. To prepare manufacturing CAD drawings using 2D RADAN
2. To up-date drawings and associated data of existing products on a continuous engineering or suggestion scheme basis by changes of materials/methods and design within equipment performance limits.
3. To input data into the MACSYS MRPII data base, creating structured Bills of Materials and routings compatible with production requirements using e2i or similar
4. To implement engineering changes within the MACSYS MRPII database and in accordance with the Company change control procedures.
5. To provide occasional engineering guidance to customers, and other departments.
6. To ensure that Company procedures are adhered to and that the accuracy of data prepared is of the highest level. To be aware of, and operate within the constraints that the Quality registration BS EN ISO 9001 creates within the department and the remainder of the Company.
7. To ensure that engineering changes are managed cost effectively.
8. Health and Safety of all concerned must be an inherent part of all designs
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS Essential : ONC (MECH) or equivalent, recognised engineering apprenticeship, minimum 2 years Drawing office experience, computer and keyboard literate. Previous experience in industry associated with light and heavy metal fabrications.
Desirable : HNC (MECH) or equivalent, apprenticeship, etc., as above. A working knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration products. Previous experience of CAD workstations.
