My client requires an experienced Project Manager to work within a rapidly expanding business area developing leading edge data storage solutions for the IT industry.
The successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for the right product getting into the market place at the right time, cost, performance and quality.
The job holder will be required to develop an end to end project plan for the new product, negotiating with functional managers to accept ownership and commit to end dates for each major activity.
Ensure the project is run to plan and will own the major project checkpoints. At each major checkpoint, the Project Manager under-writes that the product is capable of passing to the next stage of the life cycle, confirming it meets criteria for quality, function, cost and reliability. The ability to manage tight deadlines and budgets across cross-functional groups is essential.
The ideal candidate will be degree educated with accredited project management skills within a high technology manufacturing environment. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company and with customers, as well as strong interpersonal skills, good leadership skills, good negotiating skills are required.Experience in highly competitive commercial markets, especially IT hardware, will be a distinct advantage.
The role entails foreign (primarily US) travel. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for career progression in a growing company that is going from strength to strength!
Salary range for this role is £35-45k plus benefits
