Internal Sales Engineer - Projects Salary £21k - £26k We are currently looking for experienced Internal Sales candidates preferably from an Engineering background to be based in commuting distance to Knutsford. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills and be technically minded. Knowledge and experience of valves would be a definite advantage. Main Responsibilities: -- To respond verbally and/or in writing to all customers enquiries and progressing of orders in a timely and professional manner -- To evaluate each enquiry technically and commercially in order to offer the correct product(s) to meet the customer requirements. -- To liaise with other departments where necessary ensuring that the customers needs are met whilst also ensuring that we produce products that are both economically and technically viable. -- To secure orders by means of careful evaluation of customer needs, prompt and correct response and offering pricing that maximises profit to the company but also assures that we are competitive, within the constraints laid down by the directors of the company. -- To evaluate best delivery dates that can be realistically achieved, utilising stock products wherever possible and liaising with other departments mainly production and purchasing. -- To provide support for the external sales force and distributors worldwide, ensuring they are updated with information regarding customer activity, project information etc. Providing quotations, costing and delivery information as required securing potential orders. -- Prompt follow up of enquiries within designated area to successful or final conclusions to maximise order intake. -- Review technical considerations and decide on product to offer (co-ordinate with engineering department if applicable/required). -- Prepare costing sheets for those items not covered within a standard cost matrix. -- Review contract terms and conditions (consult GM/MD where required outside standard terms of operation). -- Compile bid to customer requirements/instructions. -- Calculate pricing, inclusive of GM percentage, discounts and commissions. -- Liaise where required with Area Sales Manager, re; gross margin on bid and ensure they are copied. -- Upon receipt of order re-affirm technical, commercial and quality aspects according to bid
